My Recent Hawaii Trip

About a month ago, we were vacationing in Hawaii; talk about the ultimate relaxation spot! It was so beautiful and warm there! Everyday the temperature was around 80 degrees and coming from 20 degrees, it was paradise. We hit the beach everyday and did tons of body surfing. Our favorite place was the North Shore. I think we drove up to there at least three times and bought some shaved ice at this amazing mom and pop place every time. One of the days we went to Hanauma Bay and got the chance to do some snorkeling.

Here is what we found with our waterproof digital camera:

On our last day in Hawaii, my husband rented a stand up paddle board and as he was trying to get on, he slipped off and ended up braking his foot (It seems like every trip we go on, one of us gets hurt!) After we got home he visited an orthopedic surgeon and he was ordered an MRI to see what tissue and ligament damage had occurred. A week later we visited him again and the MRI read that his foot had been miraculously healed and he would not need surgery or even a cast at that point. We were both shocked but had to believe it. After two weeks he could be back to his normal activity. Today he saw his surgeon and was able to be released back to work.

What a blessing it is that he is able to work again and support our family. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason and that we are being watched over. Experiences like these help me to appreciate what I have and not take the precious things in life for granted.
