After I had finished getting ready for the day; I felt as though I was still missing something. I have never been a bright red lipstick kind of girl because I always thought it looked funny on me. Today however, I needed something with an extra little bit of "pop" to my overall outfit. I only own nude colored lipstick and lip glosses so I knew I had to come up with something a little more unique to make this work.
Ingredients:
Softlips Lip Balm in Winter Mint
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude
Covergirl Classic Color Blush in Rose Silk
Lancome Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss in Spring Fling
Steps:
1. I first prepped my lips by putting on my Softlips Lip Balm. I love the smell and flavor of the seasonal flavor Winter Mint, but you could use just plain lip balm.
2. I then put on my Revlon Colorburst Lipstick. I use this almost everyday because the nude color gives off such a finished yet subtle look.
3. Next, I used a small makeup brush and very lightly swept on my Covergirl Classic Color Blush onto my lips until my lips were completely covered. I used this specific color because that was the same color I had put on my cheeks and I didn't want to feel too miss-matched.
4. I finished off with the Lancome Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss since it was just a little too matte for me. My sweet mother-in-law gave this to me and I swear by it! It is amazing and it is the only brand of lip gloss I would ever recommend.
It came out great and I love the results! What is so amazing about this recipe is that you could virtually use any color combination to fit your specific color desires or obtain a distinct look. This is an inexpensive, fast, and effortless way to expand your makeup kit.
