While we builted Mr. Snowman, Caleb kept trying to get Patsi to play with him but as you can see, she hates the snow. |
Well anyways, the reason I bring up snow is because this morning I had to take John to work up in Show Low for another 24 hour shift. It was snowing like crazy and every minute the weather was getting worse. The picture below was taken about ten minutes before I dropped John off at work. By the time I was heading home, the snow was about the size of a quarter and everything had turned completely white, including the road:
Oh, I should add that I HATE driving in the snow. I am not a super great driver in it, so I tend to freak out a little. I know the basics like: don't brake too hard, don't accelerate too fast, take your time, and blah blah blah. As I was pulling into traffic I hit a piece of ice and started fishtailing all over the place and could not get control of my truck. Thank goodness the closest car was paying attention and swerved out of my way and that our 4WD Toyota Tundra has an outstanding Traction Control System that helps stop the skidding when it senses danger.
When I had stopped fishtailing, I took a moment to take a breath and thank Heavenly Father for looking out for me. I am grateful that I did not get into an accident this morning and that I was safe; especially since John would have responded to the 9-1-1 call. That would have been really bad....

Oh my goodness!! I know how you feel about driving in snow!! I am the slow one that makes everyone mad on the road! I am awful at driving in bad weather!! I am sooo glad you are ok!!
Oh my gosh, that is scary. Those roads were so bad! My mom and I went to walmart and there was no snow... then came out to like four inches on our car and the roads were horrible! Me and my car both suck at driving in snow. Sounds like I need a truck!
